Oh wow, that is just ten kinds of fabulous and hilarious. Gilbert and Sullivan is so perfect for Gaius: pompous and silly and callous all at once. I love it! Would you mind cross-posting this on [info]bsg_crack so that more can enjoy your cracktastic vision? :D

HEE!!!!

I think my favorite segment was the jump cuts between all the different Quorum members and the obscure callback to the PeaceNow!Cylon sympathizer. It's clear that some significant thought went into making this, for which I salute you. :)

It's funny, this is one of those songs whose lyrics change from production to production, often updated to include modern political and pop culture references. I really wanted to include the Quorum stuff, but discovered that of the four versions I had, none of the stayed close enough to Gilbert's original lyric while also omitting an offensive racial slur (the lyric wasn't originally "banjo serenader"). I had one that could have worked, but it left out an entire verse while still managing to run 22 seconds longer than this recording-- painfully slow, I tell you. How I didn't have the D'Oyly Carte version already, I'm not sure. /Random rambling.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you:)

Yay! It's always good to have company in hell! (I'm hoping they honor my reservation for the the table with Einstein and John Stuart Mill.) I'm glad you enjoyed it:)
